DMCA Policy

MacriumReflects (macriumreflects.com) respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our own content to be respected in turn. This page explains how to report content you believe infringes your copyright, and how we handle those reports, under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

What this site publishes

MacriumReflects is an independent site publishing original guides, reviews, and comparisons about backup, disk imaging, and disk cloning software — see our About page. We don't host a forum, comments, or user file uploads. Where we reference a vendor's product name, logo, screenshots, or documentation, that's done to identify and discuss the product, and any such material belongs to its respective owner.

Filing a takedown notice

If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our contact address (see below) that includes:

• A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
• Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail (e.g. the specific URL) for us to locate it
• Your contact information — address, phone number, and email address
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf

Incomplete notices may not receive a response. Upon receiving a valid notice, we will review it and, where warranted, remove or disable access to the identified material.

Counter-notification

If material you posted or that identifies you was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice containing your signature, identification of the removed material and its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the US, an appropriate jurisdiction). We will forward valid counter-notices as required by law.

Repeat infringement

Since this site does not accept user-submitted content, this policy primarily governs how we respond to claims about our own published pages. Where applicable, we reserve the right to remove content subject to repeated, valid infringement claims.
